Agricultural Call Center
A call center is a medium of mediation between any type of service provider and its consumer. The experimental journey of 'Krishi Call Center' was launched as the country's first government call center under the Ministry of Agriculture in June 2012 to spread the latest technology, services and information related to agriculture among all the farmers and the people of this country. The Agricultural Call Center is located at the farmhouse, the headquarters of the Agricultural Information Service, Dhaka.

 

From June 25, the center has officially begun with a short code of 6 digits. The Center is operating with the help of International NGO Practical Action, Bangladesh. Farmers are getting immediate expert advice on any problem related to agriculture, fisheries and livestock by calling the operator's mobile phone short code number 122 at the agricultural call center at a rate of 25 paisa per minute (excluding VAT and supplementary duty). This service is currently being offered at the Agricultural Call Center from 820am to 6pm daily, excluding Fridays and other public holidays; Which will be more widespread in the future.
